Skiing
Vacationing in the Adirondacks is not reserved
for the summer though. When the seasons change, and the snow covers the
ground, the Adirondacks come alive with skiing, Cross-country or
downhill, with snow shoeing, and keep in mind you will be visiting the snowmobile
center of the world. From the Adirondacks to nearby Tug Hill, the
country is abuzz with the hum of snowmobiles and fun.
And don't think the wildlife isn't abundant at this time of the year. Turkeys,
deer and a vast array of life is to be seen.

Snowmobile
Snowmobile riding is very much part of the Adirondacks. There are
trails from Cross-Rip to all parts of the Adirondack park. The rides
are endless with plenty of stops and sites in each direction. You are
very close to the snowmobile Mecca of the country being just a few
minutes from Old Forge New York.

Ice Fishing
Ice fishing is very popular and many of the lakes in the area abound
with ice fishermen and of course the fish they are after.
